“…It took me 30 years to get Rome and Latin out of my system… All letters are dead even if written by fingers of angels and nibs of stars, all book knowledge is dead that is not unified with a corresponding life of the reader”.

ABOUT GRUNDTVIG AFRICA HOUSE

Grundtvig Africa House (GAHO) was established in 2015 as a Community Research House to address concerns such as ‘knowledge production and use’ that have become urgent in the 21st century affecting communities within the Eastern Africa region and beyond.

Based in Kajiado, on the outskirts of Kenya’s capital Nairobi, GAHO is dedicated to drawing deeply on the cultural and civilization heritage of East African communities and to working with them in revitalizing, reclaiming and applying their indigenous knowledge and wisdom systems for a meaningful development of the region.
